My husband and I in the garden

 My Story

As a child I suffered from asthma, extensive eczema and allergies. I was always labelled as "over-sensitive"and could never sit still.

The only available treatment was steroids. By the time I reached 28, my allergies had taken over my life. I was permanently exhausted and reacting to almost everything: food, chemicals, pollen etc. I had to take drastic action or face being unable to live in the world. My search for complementary therapy began. I tried many types of holistic therapy until I discovered holistic reflexology. I began to unravel and understand my own story, and accept my sensitivity as a gift instead of a curse. I realised the inextricable link between my physical health and my mental/emotional state, that psychosomatic illness was real. Holistic reflexology really helped calm my emotions and still my mind. Regular reflexology, massage and daily meditation practise have transformed my health and my priority is to live a peaceful life.

I began training as a holistic therapist 25 years ago. I have worked in Yorkshire, Hertfordshire and Mallorca. I am dedicated to supporting clients to discover the root causes of their health issues, treating them as a whole person, rather than focussing on their specific condition/s. I trained as a CRUSE bereavement support volunteer in 2014.

Having spent 5 years running a retreat centre in Mallorca, I now live and work in Wells with my husband Martin, a yoga teacher and personal trainer. I offer therapies in my therapy room at home and Light Dance 1:1 sessions from our geodesic dome in the garden.

My Approach

My aim is to really connect with how clients are physically, mentally and emotionally, I see each person as a unique and whole individual. The problems I encounter range from chronic pain and sleep disorders to hormonal imbalances, from anxiety to deep grief, amongst many. There are many conditions which are difficult to treat purely with conventional medicine. The most important thing for me is that my clients feel an empathetic, calm and compassionate response from me, which helps build a trusting relationship between us. We work together, like peeling the layers of an onion, releasing old patterns and blocks and deepening an understanding of what is underlying the issues facing them. I work at different levels, according to each client, offering healing programmes tailored to each person. Some come for simple physical relaxation, others are looking to make significant positive changes in their lives.
